Minding Well-Being: Validation of the Mindfulness‑Based Strategic Awareness Training (MBSAT) for Non‑Clinical Populations
(Peters, Sim, Reb, Young, & Elser, 2025)

This project evaluated the effectiveness of Mindfulness-Based Strategic Awareness Training (MBSAT), an eight-session mindfulness program designed for personal and professional development in non-clinical settings. Conducted with working adults in Switzerland, the study found that MBSAT significantly reduced stress, worry, and alexithymia, while enhancing sleep quality, psychological need satisfaction, flourishing, and work engagement. The results suggest that improved interoception may be a key mechanism through which mindfulness supports overall well-being.

Effects of a Mindfulness-Based Leadership Training on Leadership Behaviors and Effectiveness (Tan, Peters & Reb, 2023)

This study evaluated the effectiveness of a Mindfulness-Based Leadership Training (MBLT) program in enhancing leadership effectiveness. In a real-world quasi-experimental design, leaders who completed a two-day MBLT workshop and follow-up coaching showed improved leadership effectiveness and demonstrated more transformational, authentic, and reward-based leadership behaviors compared to an active control group. Mediation analyses identified transformational and authentic leadership as key mechanisms through which MBLT supported leadership development, offering evidence for its value in workplace and organizational contexts.

Mindfulness-Based Holistic Education in Management: Foundations and Effects on Student Well-Being (Peters, Reb, Sim, Saito, & Tov, 2025)

This research introduces the Mindfulness-Based Holistic Education (MBHE) framework, designed to integrate mindfulness and positive psychology into business school curricula. Responding to rising mental health concerns and the need for sustainable performance, the study presents a practical and scalable course model, backed by empirical evidence showing improvements in students’ well-being, self-awareness, and resilience. By addressing key challenges in curriculum design and implementation, the project offers a replicable, evidence-based approach to advancing holistic management education.
